Three partners, namely Krapina-Zagorje County, Zagreb County, and the City of Zagreb have agreed to regularly gather info at an event named “The Zagreb Urban Agglomeration Day” with the aim of better directing activities towards the realisation of common goals, promoting the Development Strategy of the Zagreb Urban Agglomeration for the period up to 2020 (SRUAZ), presenting and monitoring the realisation of projects of the Zagreb Urban Agglomeration, the status of implementation of the ITU mechanism, announcement of future activities, and better networking of all stakeholders.
At the Zagreb Urban Agglomeration Day representatives of the administrative bodies of the City of Zagreb, cities and municipalities within the Urban Agglomeration Zagreb, representatives of the Zagreb County, Krapina-Zagorje County and their regional coordinators, members of the Partner Council, and the Working Group for the development strategy of the SRUAZ have participated. Moreover, representatives of other functional urban areas in Croatia (Split, Rijeka, Osijek), as well as the functional urban area of Warsaw have also participated and have presented their best practices and flagship projects.
Four editions of the Zagreb Urban Agglomeration Day have been organised so far, with the initial dynamics disrupted by COVID 19 crises.
